North Adams SteepleCats News Release
This Weeks's Events at the Joe:
Sunday June 26
The SteepleCats will host the Newport Gulls Sunday. The first one thousand fans will receive SteepleCat Pride wristbands. It will be Sunday so it will be one dollar hot dog night! Make sure you bring your appetite to The Joe! It is Williamstown Savings Bank night so come on down and see what they have in store.
Boston Trip:
The SteepleCats have lost seven games in a row since getting their first win. However, the organization went on a trip that was quite a bonding experience on Monday. They got on the bus at one o'clock at Joe Wolfe Field and departed for Boston. They arrived in Boston a few minutes before four o'clock when President Dan Bosley got on the bus. He had a microphone and gave the guys a tour of the City of Boston. They made a pit stop at Quincy Market and had dinner at Durgin Park. The tab was taken care of by team President Dan Bosley and league president John Derosa. Next stop, Fenway Park. It was the first time at Fenway for many players on the team. They got to see an offensive display put on by the Red Sox. They also saw a former SteepleCat Evan Scribner come in to pitch for the Padres which was great! It was a great trip and everyone had an awesome time!
Father's Day at The Joe:
Father's Day at The Joe was a great day! To start of the festivities, there were multiple father and child partners out in left field playing catch with either baseballs or softballs. It was truly a great thing to see. The SteepleCat drawstring backpacks were a big hit for the fans as well. For in between inning activities, there were two father and child team events. First there was the baseball toss in left field and then the famous ladder bal event. It was great to have father and child team events on Father's Day. It was a fun day at The Joe but a SteepleCats win would of made it a whole lot better.
