June 8, 2019 - New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL)
North Adams SteepleCats News Release
Gordon Graceffo took the ball for the Steeplecats and did not disappoint, as the Villanova right-hander went 6 innings allowing only one run and tallying 6 strikeouts. The Cats totaled seven runs in the 7-3 victory, as Sam Punzi stayed hot by knocking in 2 RBIs on a double, Pau Komistek crushed a triple to spark a rally in the middle innigs, also Joey Porcelli who found his way on base 3 different times. Sam Cochrane the centerfielder for the Muskrats was the lone bright spot as he gunned down two runners at the plate and tallied a hit late in the game as well. A combination of Noah Inch, Jacob Abbott and Daniel Corvo navigated the final 3 innings of the ball game to lock down the win. The Steeplecats will hit the road tomorrow as they'll face off against the Keene Swampbats tomorrow night at 6:30 pm and will look to improve to an impressive 3-0 on the young season.
