Youngstown, OH - The Youngstown SteelHounds (4-2-1) had a case of deja vu on Saturday night as they defeated the Oklahoma City Blazers (1-5-0) by a final score of 4-3. Jeff Christian continued his torrid pace adding three points (1-2 - 3) giving him eight goals and seven assists in his last four games.

Each team squandered five on three chances in a penalty ridden first period that saw both teams combine for twelve penalties. The lone goal of the period came from the Blazers Ryan Johnston with less then a minute to play with assists coming from Jared Dumba and Shawn Germain giving the Blazers a 1-0 lead going into the first intermission. The Blazers outshot the Hounds 14-8.

Youngstown's power play took center stage in the second period as the Hounds had a five-on-three man advantage that led to two power play goals. Darryl Lloyd scored the first assisted by Jeff Christian (extending his point streak to four games). The second was netted by Scott Barnes, his second goal of the season, assisted by Lorne Misita and Jeff Antonovich (his first point with the SteelHounds). After two periods, the Hounds held a 2-1 lead but were being outshot 29-20 through two period.

The Blazers came out flying in the third period scoring a pair of goal to regain the lead at 3-2. The first was scored by Tim Earl, his first of the season, and the second scored shorthanded by Marty Standish, his second goal of the season. However, for the second straight game the SteelHounds battled back for a third period comeback. Jeff Christian led the charge scoring his eighth goal of the season getting the Hounds back to even and Darryl Lloyd found the back of the net again proving to be the game winner, his sixth goal of the season.

Oklahoma City outshot the Hounds 39-30 in the game as David St. Germain made 36 saves earning his second victory of the year. Youngstown finished the game 2 for 12 on the power play, while Oklahoma City was stopped on all seven chances.
