YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO - The Youngstown SteelHounds are set to begin the 2006-07 Central Hockey League regular season tonight when they begin a two game series in Memphis versus their Northeast Division rival RiverKings. Face-off for both games is set for 8:05 PM EST and both can be heard on the radio home of the SteelHounds WBBW 1240 The Fan. Hounds fans can also tune in via the team's web cast through steelhounds.com.

The Hounds will open their home portion of the schedule next weekend when they host the expansion Rocky Mountain Rage on Friday, October 27th and Saturday, October 28th at the Chevrolet Centre. Tickets are available at the Chevy Centre box office, by calling (330) 747-PUCK or available on line at www.gettix.net.

Youngstown got down to the league maximum 18-player roster by placing waiving one player (goaltender Brian Gratz) and by placing one player on the league's Extended Training Camp List (defenseman Mark Lindsay). The team is still awaiting immigration approval for several players who will have the opportunity to break in the line-up during the SteelHounds home opening weekend.

"I am very happy with the team that is starting the season for us," said Kaminski. "We had a very competitive camp and the decisions were very difficult to make but I am confident with the 18 players I am taking to the ice this weekend in two very important divisional games."

The SteelHounds will enter the season with seven returning players from last year's team and with just Jeff Christian and Chris Richards as veterans.

The 18 players taking the ice in Memphis tonight include:

Goaltenders (2)- Jeremy Symington and Brad Roberts

Defensemen (6)- Kelly Sickavish, Jeff Alcombrack, John Neal, Josh Reed, Paul Esdale and Stephen Margeson

Forwards (10)- Chris Richards, Jeff Christian, Joey Sewell, Shaun Landolt, Chris Shaffer, John Wheaton, Brian Boike, Jeff Valdes, Sam Miller and Brad Patterson.

SteelHounds season tickets and mini-plans are available. Call (330) 747-PUCK (7825) for more information or visit the Hounds online home at www.steelhounds.com.
