Guard Jimmie "Snap" Hunter paced all vote getters with 19 votes (one short of a unanimous choice), while forward Randy Holcomb gathered 18 votes from the selection panel. Hunter appears on the Eastern Conference squad for the second straight season. He is currently the top scorer in the CBA, with a 26.4 ppg. average. In addition to his scoring, Hunter ranks 8th in the CBA in assists (5.1 apg.), fourth in steals (1.9 spg.), third in three point shooting (.453) and an incredible 7th in blocked shots (1.0 bpg.)

Holcomb has anchored the Steelheads' front line from the beginning of the season. The last player cut in the Chicago Bulls' training camp, Holcomb ranks 9th in the CBA in scoring (20.2 ppg.) and 7th in the league in rebounding (7.8 rpg.). He also has five double-doubles, best on the team.

All-Star game participants were voted on by the eight CBA head coaches and 13 selected media members from the eight markets for a total of 21 votes. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. The Western Conference All-Star team will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 5.

The CBA All-Star Game will take place on January 17th at the Qwest Center in Boise, Idaho. Last year's game was played in front of a standing-room-only crowd at the Genesis Center in Gary.
