Steelhawks Announce Second Open Tryout Date

Bethlehem, PA: The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks announced today their SECOND open tryout date leading up to their inaugural season in the Indoor Football League. The tryout is set for Monday, December 6th from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The open tryout will take place inside the Rauch Field House on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University. Players who plan on attending are asked to be present and ready to workout no later than 7:00 p.m. The Rauch Field House is adjacent to the Stabler Arena which will be the site of all Steelhawks home games during the 2011 season.

"After our first open tryout in October we signed ten standout young men to our roster," stated Steelhawks Executive Vice President Mike Clark. "With the league allowing us to bring up to 45 individuals into February's training camp, and only 20 players under contract, there are many spots to be won at these tryouts."

Steelhawks coaches will be using various exercises to evaluate players, including:

* 40-yard Dash

* Short Shuttle

* Vertical Leap

* Three Cone Drill

* Standing Broad Jump

* One-on-One Play

* Eight-on-Eight Play

* Offensive & Defensive Drills

Location: Lehigh University Goodman Campus (Rauch Field House), 124 Goodman Drive., Bethlehem, PA 18015

Date: Monday, December 6, 2010

Time: 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm, with registration from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
