GENEVA, ILLINOIS - After treating the home crowd to a pair of thrilling victories last weekend, the Chicago Steel (10-2-3-0; 23 pts.) play on home ice at Fox Valley Ice Arena this Saturday, Nov. 13 against the Muskegon Lumberjacks for a Family Pack Game on Superheroes and Villains Night, starting at 7:05 pm CT.

The Steel Family Pack, one of the team's most popular ticket deals, includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 chips, 4 sodas/waters and 4 chuck-a-pucks for just $50. The Pack is available for purchase online by entering promo code "Family" when prompted. Your Friendly Neighborhood Junior Hockey Team will treat fans to an unforgettable experience for Superheroes and Villains Night with plenty of chances for fans to get involved. Some lucky contestants will get the opportunity to play 'take down the villain' and take part in a Spider-Man web sling contest. All fans are invited to participate in a Villain and Hero Trivia Match game on the videoboard during second intermission.

Slingshot Bowling, one of the most popular Steel promotions, is scheduled to make its 2021 debut between periods on Saturday night.

Last weekend, the Steel got back to their winning ways with a 6-2 victory over the Green Bay Gamblers on Nov. 5 and a heart-stopping come-from-behind 4-3 win against the Dubuque Fighting Saints Saturday in front of electric home crowds at Fox Valley Ice Arena both nights.

Steel forward and Arizona Coyotes prospect Sam Lipkin helped Chicago jump out to a 4-1 lead after the first period against Green Bay on Friday, factoring in with a goal and two helpers in the opening frame alone. The Steel held on to capture a 6-2 win, while rookie Zam Plante added two markers of his own.

The following night, the Dubuque Fighting Saints held a 2-0 advantage entering the third before the Steel answered with four consecutive goals in the third to escape with a 4-3 win on home ice.

USHL points leader Jackson Blake (7G, 14A) as well as Lipkin and Jack Harvey netted goals in the win while Libertyville, Ill., native Chris Able scored his first career USHL goal. Netminder Gibson Homer made 27 saves between the Steel pipes to pick up his fourth victory of the season.

To kick off the weekend action, Chicago travels to Iowa on Friday, Nov. 12 for a rematch against the Dubuque Fighting Saints (7-1-2-2; 18 pts.) at Mystique Community Ice Center.

Fighting Saints points leader Stephen Halliday extended his current point streak to five games (6G, 6A) with a helper in the loss on Nov. 6 and has tallied three points (1G, 2A) in two games against the Steel this season.

The Muskegon Lumberjacks (2-7-1-2; 7 pts.) make the trip to Fox Valley Ice Arena for the second time this season, facing off against the Steel on Nov. 13. Chicago won an overtime thriller against Muskegon on October 2 in the team's home opener. The Lumberjacks have yet to win a game on the road during the 2021-2022 season in five tries.

Despite the second-most shots per game in the USHL with 33.2/game, Muskegon ranks 10th in the USHL with 3.00 goals per contest.

Lumberjacks defenseman Jacob Guevin leads all league defensemen with 14 points (2G, 12A) through 12 outings. The 5'11'' 181-pound blueliner was ranked as a 'C'-level prospect on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary watch list for the 2022 NHL Draft.

The Steel homestand continues next weekend with a matchup against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday, Nov. 19 and Video Game Night against the Madison Capitols on Saturday, Nov. 20 with both games slated for 7:05 pm CT.
