Steel Fall 4-1 in Eastern Conference Final Opener

The Steel fell 4-1 in the opening game of the best-of-five Eastern Conference Final at Fox Valley Ice Arena Friday...Youngstown leads the series 1-0...The Phantoms scored three consecutive goals before the Steel finally beat goaltender Jacob Fowler while on the power play in the third period...Youngstown outshot the Steel 40-28...Chicago went 1-for-4 on the power play while Youngstown was 1-for-3 with the man advantage.

Jayden Perron scored the lone Steel goal. It was the University of North Dakota commit's fourth goal of the postseason and fifth point (4G, 1A) in three games.

Steel goaltender Christian Manz stopped 36 of 39 shots in the contest.

Jake Livanavage and Mick Thompson picked up assists on Perron's power play goal.
