
Steamers trade DaSilva to Chicago

St. Louis, MO, January 21, 2005 âSt. Louis Steamers Team President Michael Hetelson, announced today that the team traded forward Nino DaSilva to Chicago in exchange for cash and a fourth round draft pick in the 2005 MISL Draft.
DaSilva, 25, played in 11 games for the Steamers this season recording six points (four goals, two assists) along with six penalty minutes. St. Louis acquired DaSilva on September 30, when they sent forward Steve Butcher to San Diego in exchange for DaSilva and San Diego's first round selection (third overall, St. Louis selected Shaun David with the third pick) in the Dallas Sidekicks Dispersal Draft.
The Steamers released DaSilva on December 31, but he cleared waivers and St. Louis retained his rights.
The 5-7, 150-pound native of Hoffman Estates, IL played three seasons in Kansas City and one in San Diego before joining St. Louis this season.
