Steamers to host Baltimore Nov. 26

(St. Louis, Nov. 24, 2003) The St. Louis Steamers complete their five-game homestand hungry for a victory with a Nov. 26 Thanksgiving-eve matchup against the defending MISL champion Baltimore Blast. Kickoff is 7:35 p.m. at The Family Arena. The Steamers are coming off a 5-2 loss to the Dallas Sidekicks Nov. 22. St. Louis received a solid performance in goal by keeper Brett Phillips, who returned to action after missing the past two games while recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery. Daryl Doran and Steve Butcher scored the goals for the Steamers.

Baltimore is 5-3 overall and 0-2 on the road this season. The game is the second of four matches between the two clubs during the 2003-04 season. The Blast defeated the Steamers 7-2 October 17 at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore.

'Student Discount Night' Nov. 26 . . . Players to wear "retro" jerseys

On Nov. 26, the Steamers host the defending MISL champion Baltimore Blast. Kickoff is at 7:35 p.m. at The Family Arena. A special "Student Discount Night" is being offered for college and high school students. Any student who shows a valid high school or college ID at The Family Arena box office can purchase individual tickets for as low as $5 in the arena's upper bowl and $10 in the lower bowl. Also on Nov. 26, Steamers players will be wearing "retro" jerseys in observance of the original Steamers MISL franchise of the 1980s. The retro jerseys will be auctioned off at a special event later this season, with proceeds donated to the Steamers Soccer Foundation.

Saturday, Dec. 13 @ 1:05 p.m. - Steamers vs. Monterrey Fury:

U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots collection prior to the game. Fans are encouraged to get in the holiday spirit by bringing a new unwrapped toy to The Family Arena.
