Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth announced today that they have been assigned six more players for the 2003 season. The Stealth have added last seasons back-up quarterback Jay Alexander (6-1, 225, Ottawa University), defensive specialist Ty Ardoin (6-0, 200, Texas Tech), quarterback Jared Flint (6-5, 205, Hawaii), wide receiver/linebacker John Norman (6-2, 225, Texas Tech), fullback/linebacker Daren Williams (6-0, 242, Nebraska), and former All-af2 player, defensive specialist Brian Livingston (6-2, 205, Grambling State).

"This is a very talented group of athletes," said Stealth head coach Bob Cortese. "We are very excited about these guys and we think they will be very good arena football players."

Ardoin was a Big XII honorable mention linebacker in 1999 at Texas Tech. During the 1997-98 season, Ardoin tied for the team high with 11 tackles for a loss of 75 yards and registered four sacks on the season.

Norman was a Pre-season All-American punt returner prior to the 1999 season and honorable mention linebacker in 2000. Norman is listed in numerous Texas Tech special team record books. He is eighth on the all-time career punt returns (50 returns), eighth in punt return yardage (513 yards), tenth in kickoff return yardage in a season (396 yards), tied for fifth in kickoff returns in a career (37 returns), and tied for fifth in kickoff return yardage (790 yards).

Williams played at Nebraska, when they were a part of the former Big 8 conference, from 1989-1992. During the 1992 season, Williams played in 11 games and was the Huskers' 11th leading tackler with 36 stops (10 solo). Williams finished his Nebraska career with 21 games played, 70 tackles (20 unassisted and 50 assisted) and two Orange Bowl appearances.

"Daren is a pure arena player," said Cortese. "He is very tough and will be good on both sides of the ball."

Livingston is a former All-af2 defensive specialist from the Jacksonville Tomcats. He is third place in the af2 record book for most interceptions in a season with 11 during the 2000 season. He is also tied for first in most interceptions in a game with 3 (May 6, 2000 versus the Carolina Rhinos).

"Brian puts our defensive backfield in strong hands," said Cortese. "He is a great tackler and we are glad to get him assigned to us."
