
Standing Room Only Tickets Released for Eastern Conference Championship Second Leg at Sporting Park

Standing room only tickets are now available via Ticketmaster.com for the Eastern Conference Championship second leg at Sporting Park on Nov. 23 between Sporting Kansas City and the Houston Dynamo. All seats sold out in less than 24 hours of tickets going on sale to the general public after Sporting Kansas City advanced with a dramatic 3-1 win (4-3 on aggregate) over the New England Revolution on Wednesday.
"The atmosphere last night at Sporting Park was nothing short of incredible," Sporting Kansas City Director of Ticket Sales Gregg Allen said. " The overwhelming response from our fans continues to showcase the support that has made Kansas City the soccer capital of America."
Sporting Kansas City opens the two-game Eastern Conference Championship series with the Houston Dynamo at 1:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at BBVA Compass Stadium live on NBC. Supporters interested in traveling to Houston for the match can secure tickets through the Kansas City Cauldron. The team's official watch party will be held in the Boulevard Members Club at Sporting Park and is free for all ages to attend. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. CT and parking is available in Lot D.
The series winner -- decided by total goals scored over both legs -- will advance to MLS Cup on Saturday, Dec. 7. Sporting KC now holds home field advantage for the remainder of the club's playoff run, presented by Ivy Funds, and the championship match would be played at Sporting Park should the team reach MLS Cup.
Major League Soccer will host a media conference call with Sporting Kansas City Manager Peter Vermes and captain Jimmy Nielsen joined by Houston Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear and captain Brad Davis at 4:30 p.m. CT on Friday. Media interested in participating should dial (877) 391-5953 and enter 99169207 as the Conference ID when prompted.
