Stampede's Jacobson Named USHL All-Star

The United States Hockey League announced today that Stampede forward Ryan Jacobson has been named a midseason CCM All-Star for the Western Conference. A total of 44 players - 22 from the Eastern and 22 from the Western - were chosen based on a vote by USHL coaches and general managers. The CCM All-Star rosters for each conference are made up of 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders.

Jacobson is the Stampede's leading scorer with 30 points on 15 goals and 15 assists in 40 games. He also has a plus-5 rating and just eight penalty minutes on the season. The Greenwood Village, CO native leads the team with five game-winning goals this season. Jacobson is in his first season with the Stampede, he spent last year with the Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where he recorded 48 points (27g, 21a) in 57 games and went on to help lead the Bobcats to a league championship.

The USHL All-Star Game is absent from the schedule this season as the League is exploring options to develop an format that will build off the success of prior games and provide an improved experience for fans, scouts, and media.

Jacobson and the Stampede return to action tonight when they host Cedar Rapids at 7:05 PM. The Herd will also be home tomorrow night when they host Sioux City at 7:05 PM. Tickets for both games are available at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office.
