Calgary Stampeders News Release
With Saturday's 25-11 victory over the BC Lions, the Calgary Stampeders have clinched a spot in the 2022 Canadian Football League playoffs.
With a 9-5 record, the Stamps will earn at least a crossover berth in the East Division playoffs as they are assured of finishing with a better record than the Ottawa Redblacks and Hamilton Tiger-Cats, who are both 4-10.
The Stampeders remain in the thick of the battle for one of the three positions in the West Division playoffs as Saturday's result pulls Calgary into a tie with BC for second place at 18 points, with the Lions holding a game in hand.
The Stampeders have made the playoffs for a 17th consecutive season, by far the longest active streak in the CFL and tied for the fourth-longest in league history. The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have the second-longest active string of playoff appearances at six seasons.
