Calgary Stampeders News Release
(Calgary) â Today, Calgary Stampeders' Senior VP of Football Operations/Head Coach, Tom Higgins, announced a trade with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Traded to Winnipeg is Defensive Back Omar Evans in return for future considerations. Omar joined the Stampeders last season on January 26 in a trade with the Montreal Alouettes for Defensive Back Kelly Malveaux. In 2004, Evans played in nine regular season games recording 19 defensive tackles, one quarterback sack, one special team tackle, one knockdown, one pass knock down, one fumble recovery and one tackle for a loss.
