Stampede to Play Two Pre-Season Games at Scheels IcePlex

Sioux Falls, SD-The defending Clark Cup champion Sioux Falls Stampede are pleased to announce that the club will host two pre-season games at the Scheels IcePlex on Sunday, September 6th and Sunday, September 13th. It marks the first time in franchise history that the team will host a home pre-season game.
The Herd will host the Brookings Blizzard of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) on September 6th at 7:05 PM. On September 13th, Sioux Falls will entertain an Austrian team, the Salzburg Red Bulls U-20 team at 6:05 PM. Salzburg making a tour of USHL teams during September. Last season, the Red Bulls were champions of the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga for the fifth time and Austrian Champion for the sixth time.
Tickets for both games are $8 in advance through the Stampede office and $10 the night of the game at the Scheels IcePlex. Season ticket holders can attend either game FREE of charge. Please note that only cash will be accepted as payment at the IcePlex. Tickets for either game will go on sale starting Monday, August 17th at 9 AM through the Stampede business office at Sioux Falls Stadium. Portions of each ticket sold will benefit Sioux Falls Youth Hockey Association and the Jr. Stampede AAA program.
Fans will have the opportunity to interact with the team after both games. Following the game on September 6th, fans can skate with the team and get autographs on-ice for 30 minutes. Skate rentals will be available in the Scheels IcePlex lobby. On September 13th, Stampede Country will have the opportunity to get autographs from the entire team right after the game.
Full concessions, including hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, soda and beer will be made available at both games and the Dakota Lettering Stampede Pro Shop will be on site with Clark Cup championship merchandise and special pre-season sale items.
Fans can meet the team for the first time on September 5th during "Stampede Night" at the Sioux Falls Canaries baseball game. First pitch is 6:05 PM and players will be signing autographs from 5-6 PM. The Clark Cup will be on display and the entire night will be centered on the defending Clark Cup champions. Season ticket holders can receive a special discount on tickets for the game by calling 336-6060.
Other exhibition games include a game in Sioux Center, Iowa on September 11th against Sioux City, an afternoon game against Des Moines on September 12th and games in Omaha and Lincoln. Fans interested in attending the game in Sioux Center can purchase tickets by contacting the All Seasons Center at 712-722-4386 ext. 5.
