Idaho Stampede News Release
Boise, Idaho (February 25, 2005) â The Idaho Stampede has signed former Denver Nugget guard Eric Washington. The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder will be in uniform tonight when the CBA team faces the Sioux Falls Skyforce in Sioux Falls. Game time is 6:05 p.m. (MST) and can be heard on KFXD 630 AM.
The Nuggets signed Washington as a free agent in 1997 following his four-year career at the University of Alabama. He played in 104 NBA games with Denver over two seasons and has since played overseas in Italy and Israel.
The signing brings the team's active roster to ten. Earlier in the week the Stampede signed guard Julius Page, a rookie from the University of Pittsburgh.
Following tonight's game, the team will board a bus and travel to Bismarck for a Saturday night match with the Dakota Wizards. The Dakota game will end the team's 9-day, 6-game road trip. The Stampede returns to the Idaho Center on Wednesday, March 2, to play the Yakima SunKings.
