
Stampede Acquires Goaltender Christian Manz

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - TheSioux Falls Stampede has acquired veteran goaltender Christian Manz from the Chicago Steel in exchange for future considerations. The 20-year-old, 5-foot-11, 181-pound goaltender from Blaine, Minn. is committed to Augustana University.
Manz has played in 73 games for the Steel over three seasons. He holds a cumulative record of 41-22-4-3. During his time with the Steel, Manz combined for a 3.57 goals-against average and .894 save percentage. Last season, Manz marked a record of 21-9-2-1 and earned a 3-2-1-0 record during the Clark Cup Playoffs where he helped the Steel advance into the second round.
Manz will join the Herd's current goaltending room which includes three-year veteran Michael Chambre and rookie Caleb Heil. The Stampede's goaltenders have combined for a record of 21-21-3-1 this season and six overtime or shootout wins.
Manz will join the Herd immediately and be available for this weekend when the Herd travel to Waterloo and Des Moines, Friday and Saturday night. Fans can catch both games live on KELO News Talk 1320-AM, 105.1-FM, 107.9-FM, KELO.com starting at 6:40 PM on Friday and 5:40 PM on Saturday. Both games will be available on FloHockey as well. The Stampede won't return to the PREMIER Center until March 17 when they host the Omaha Lancers for Stomp's Birthday Bash. Tickets for the Herd's remaining three games are available through the Stampede office, KELOLAND box office or through any Ticketmaster outlet.
