High Desert Mavericks News Release
ADELANTO, Calif. (MAR. 22, 2013) - In preparation for the 2013 California League season, the High Desert Mavericks have made several major improvements to their home park to provide a new and enhanced experience for fans, players, front office staff and all guests at Mavericks Stadium.
The ballpark renovations range from resealing the parking lots and adding a new game-day rental suite to the new and expanded clubhouses for both home and visiting teams - the latest of numerous facility improvements for the Seattle Mariners Advanced Class-A affiliate entering its third season under the ownership of Main Street Baseball.
"Mavericks fans, players, visiting teams, front office members and the entire community will immediately see a brand-new look to the ballpark this season," said team owner Dave Heller. "Our vision has always been to make Mavericks Stadium a uniquely welcoming and memorable place for ballgames and community gatherings, and these improvements bring us closer to that goal."
Striving to provide a premier family entertainment and ballpark experience, the Mavericks introduced a new and expanded team store, added new furniture for the six loge boxes and the Hardball Café down the third-base line, and introduced a new game-day rental suite in the press box behind home plate.
Fans will receive a brightened welcome with newly resealed parking lots and a newly painted concourse. Fans and players will also notice a new outfield fence and newly padded and painted dugouts, to complement a newly enhanced playing field for the Mavericks and their California League visitors.
Further maximizing the hospitality experience for teams and umpires, the Mavericks have added new and expanded home and visitor clubhouses, new and expanded umpire offices and restrooms, and a new batting cage with a new barrier around it. In addition, the Mavericks added new team offices for the front office staff that has already added five new members this offseason.
The Mavericks open the 2013 season at Lancaster Thursday, April 4, and play their home opener Thursday, April 11, against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes at Mavericks Stadium.
