
St. Lucie Mets Set to Host 2015 FSL All Star Game

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (June 21, 2014) - The St. Lucie Mets are pleased to announce that the 2015 Florida State League All Star Game will be hosted by the Mets at Tradition Field.
It will be the FSL's 54th All Star Game and the third time the exhibition will be played in St. Lucie (1994 and 2004).
The three-day All Star break next season is June 19-21. The game will be played on June 20.
"We are excited to bring this event to our fans and to Tradition Field," St. Lucie Mets General Manager Traer Van Allen said. "We look forward to showcasing our great facility, St. Lucie County and the city of Port St. Lucie to the rest of the Florida State League."
The game will feature players from the South Division (Bradenton, Charlotte, Fort Myers, Jupiter, Palm Beach and St. Lucie) versus players from the North (Brevard County, Clearwater, Daytona, Dunedin, Lakeland and Tampa).
More details surrounding the game and festivities will be released in the coming months.
Players selected to the last FSL All Star Game hosted by St. Lucie in 2004 included Hanley Ramirez, Francisco Liriano, Russell Martin, Jonathan Papelbon and Chad Billingsley.
Derek Jeter was selected to the All Star Game St. Lucie hosted in 1994.
