St. Cloud Norsemen News Release
St. Cloud Norsemen goalie Tomas Bolo earned league honors on Monday as the North American Hockey League (NAHL) announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending January 23, 2022.
Bolo was named the Central Division Star of the Week, after helping the Norsemen to a weekend road sweep of the Minot Minotauros. The native of Zilina, Slovakia, allowed just two goals in the two wins and stopped 39 of 41 shots. On Friday, Bolo made 17 saves in a 4-1 win. On Saturday, he made 22 saves in a 6-1 win. For the season, Bolo has a 12-6-0 record in 18 appearances with a 2.48 goals against average and a .894 save percentage.
"Tomas has started to get back on track since coming back from the World Junior Championships. We will need solid performances from him the second half to have success as a team," said Norsemen head coach Corey Millen.
St. Cloud defenseman Evan Murr received an honorable mention for his five-assist performance over the weekend, earning helpers on half of the 10 goals scored by St. Cloud.
The Norsemen play a trio of games in the upcoming week, at home at the Municipal Athletic Complex in St. Cloud on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 28-29 at 7:00 p.m. against Minot, after a 6:30 p.m. puck drop on the road on Thursday, Jan. 27 at North Iowa.
