Squirrels Prepare for Eastern League Attendance Race

The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, additions to their promotional schedule including two fireworks shows as the club prepares for its final 13 home games at The Diamond.

Post-game fireworks shows have been added on Wednesday, August 25th in conjunction with Hometown Heroes Night presented by Allen Law Firm, Richmond Magazine and Lite 98, as well as September 3rd in conjunction with Back to School Night and a Flying Squirrels Backpack Giveaway presented by AAA.

"Our inaugural season has been tremendous to this point and we couldn't be happier with the support we have received from our fans and the local community," said Flying Squirrels VP & COO Todd "Pareny" Parnell. "We want to finish with a bang and lead the Eastern League in attendance our first year and we think we have added some promotions, especially the fireworks, that our fans will be excited to come out and experience before the summer is over."

The Flying Squirrels enter their final 13 home games trailing the Reading Phillies in average and total attendance. The R-Phils have led the Eastern League in both average and total attendance each of the last four years.
