Brown, who is a native of Statesboro, Georgia, made his lone appearance of the week on Friday night at Reading and gave up just six hits while pitching a complete game shutout in Erie's 3-0 victory over the R-Phils. He struck out four batters and walked one while improving his record to 10-7 and lowering his ERA to 3.85 on the season.
