SAN ANTONIO (March 1, 2013) - The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have recalled center Aron Baynes from the Austin Toros of the NBA Development League.
Baynes, making his second stint with the Toros this season, recorded 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot in 25 minutes Thursday night in a 97-95 home win over the Iowa Energy. This season the Australian has appeared in three games in Austin, averaging 17.3 points and 9.0 rebounds in 26.7 mintues.
Baynes has appeared in eight games with the Spurs this season, averaging 1.9 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.6 minutes.
