
Springfield's Kris Joseph Signs with Brooklyn

NEW YORK, April 2, 2013 - The Brooklyn Nets today signed Springfield Armor forward Kris Joseph for the 32nd GATORADE Call-Up of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. He joins 123 players with NBA D-League experience currently on NBA rosters.
Joseph (6-7, 215, Syracuse) has appeared in 27 games for Springfield and Maine this season and is averaging 18.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 34.0 minutes. Springfield is 9-6 with Joseph in the lineup and on March 8 against Erie, he scored a season-high 34 points on 11-for-24 shooting to go with six rebounds.
Joseph was selected in the second round (51st Overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. He appeared in six games for Boston and averaged 1.2 points. He was waived by the Celtics in January before being reacquired by Maine and subsequently traded to Springfield.
Joseph is expected to join the Nets today and be available when the team travels to Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers on Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena.
