
Los Angeles' D-Fenders' Courtney Fortson Suspended

NEW YORK, April 2, 2013 - Los Angeles D-Fenders guard Courtney Fortson has received a one-game suspension without pay for receiving his 13th technical foul of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season, it was announced today by Chris Alpert, NBA D-League Vice President, Basketball Operations and Player Personnel.
Under NBA D-League rules, a player or coach is automatically suspended without pay for one game once he receives his 13th technical foul during the regular season. For every two additional technical fouls received during that regular season, the player or coach will be automatically suspended for an additional game.
Fortson received his most recent technical foul with 5:16 remaining in the third quarter of Los Angeles 101-100 loss to the Santa Cruz Warriors on Saturday, March 30, at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, Cali. Fortson will serve his suspension tomorrow, April 3, when the team hosts the Canton Charge.
