With the NHL Draft coming up on June 24-25, there is a chance Springfield fans could see a couple of familiar names called. Two Springfield Jr. Blues players, goalie Tommy Nappier and defensemen Erich Fear, are listed on the NHL Central Scouting list.

Tommy Nappier is listed as one of the top North American goalies going into this year's draft. Nappier, a St. Louis, MO native, came to Springfield through the

2015 NAHL draft, selected 57th overall, from the St. Louis AAA Blues.

Nappier played in 39 games this year for Springfield, compiling a 18-17-1 record with a 2.45 GAA and a save percentage of 91.9%. He was selected for the Midwest Division's team at the NAHL Top Prospects Showcase and twice earned NAHL Midwest Division Star of the Week honors this past season. Nappier is committed to play NCAA DIV-I hockey at Ohio State University in the Big Ten Conference.

Erich Fear is listed as one of the top defensemen in North America. In the final Central Scouting ranking he was ranked at 152 amongst North American skaters. Fear, a Winnetka, IL native, was tendered by Springfield in 2015 after an impressive season with the Chicago Mission.

Erich was chosen to play on the NAHL Selects Team at the NAHL Top Prospects Showcase. Fear is committed to play NCAA DIV-I hockey at the University of Denver in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. His younger brother, Evan Fear, is a Springfield tender for next season.
