
Spring Training Starts Today

Pensacola Pelicans News Release
An anticipated season begins today with Coach Carbo, Coach Borbon, Coach Luker and 48 hopefuls hitting the field at the University of West Florida. Spring Training will be open to the pubic from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day with a break from 6 to 6:30 p.m. for fans to meet the coaches and players and to get a good look at the renovations being done to the field. The Spring Training roster will be available on our website this week at www.pensacolapelicans.com.

SPRING TRAINING BANQUET
Hosted by Nationally Known Comedian T. Bubba Bechtol
When: Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 6:05 p.m.
Location: The ball park at the University of West Florida
What: Picnic dinner to meet and greet the players and coaches.
Also have your questions ready because the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions of Major Leaguer Al Oliver, Bernie Carbo, Pedro Borbon and others. This will be a casual evening that baseball and Bubba fans alike will enjoy.

PELICAN OWNER QUINT STUDER WILL APPEAR ON WEAR'S MORNING SHOW: CHANNEL 3 IN THE MORNING
Friday morning May 16, 2003 Pelicans owner Quint Studer will be on WEAR Channel 3 in the Morning show. The show begins at 5 a.m. and it will be worth waking up for! Quint will give all the "Scoop" on the Pelicans and outline the fun things he and his wife Rishy have planned for the season.
