SPORTING KC CONCLUDES PRESEASON WITH TRIP TO ORLANDO

After two days of training in Kansas City, Sporting KC will head to Orlando, Fla. on Friday for the final leg of their 2014 preseason campaign. The two-week trip will feature four matches in the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic as well as two scrimmages against local universities.

Sporting KC will square off in Group B against fellow MLS clubs the New York Red Bulls and the Montreal Impact as well as the Fluminense FC U-23 (Brazil) squad. SPORTING KC RE-ACQUIRES JIMMY MEDRANDA

Sporting Kansas City announced the acquisition of midfielder Jimmy Medranda on Thursday, agreeing to terms on an undisclosed transfer fee with Deportivo Pereira in Colombia and signing Medranda to a multi-year contract. Medranda, who joined Sporting KC on loan last August, will be added to the team's 2014 roster upon receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and will occupy the club's fourth of eight available international roster spots.

Medranda was part of the second youngest roster in Major League Soccer last season with Sporting KC and made his MLS debut in September at Sporting Park, becoming the youngest player to appear in a match for the club in 2013.

SPORTING KC'S SECONDARY KIT TO BE UNVEILED ON MARCH 4

Sporting Kansas City announced Wednesday that the club will unveil the team's new secondary kit at a free public event on Tuesday, March 4 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. CT in Hangar 1 at the Charles Wheeler Downtown Airport (10 NW Richards Road, Kansas City, MO.).

Boarding passes for Sporting Takeoff, presented by Ivy Funds, must be reserved online free of charge and redeemed at the doors. Free parking will be available on site on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fans can also purchase the Sporting Takeoff Special, which includes two drink vouchers ($10 value) redeemable for beer, wine, Pepsi products and bottled waters (ticket holders under 21 years of age may only redeem for non-alcoholic beverages), a photo opportunity with the MLS Cup trophy and a $5 merchandise voucher to be used at the event.

REGISTRATION OPEN FOR THE SPORTING KC CONFETTI CREW

Registration is now open for the Sporting KC Confetti Crew, a new membership club available to fans 12 and younger. Launched ahead of the 2014 season, every registered member of the Confetti Crew will receive a general admission ticket in the South Stand at Sporting Park for Kids Club Night on Saturday, March 22 when Sporting Kansas City hosts the San Jose Earthquakes. All members will also receive a personalized Certificate of Membership and Membership Card, as well as a 10% coupon to be redeemed one-time only at any Sporting Style store inside the stadium.

SPORTING KC ANNOUNCES UPDATED GAME TIMES

On Monday, Canadian national television networks TSN and RDS released their national broadcast package for the 2014 Major League Soccer season. The schedule included the kickoff time for four Sporting KC road matches:

Sat. May 10 at Montreal Impact - 3 p.m. CT

Sat. July 12 at Montreal Impact - 6:30 p.m. CT

Sat. July 26 at Toronto FC - 6 p.m. CT

Sat. Aug. 10 at Vancouver Whitecaps FC - 7 p.m. CT

In addition, Sporting KC's May 27 home match against the New York Red Bulls, which was originally scheduled to kick off at 8 p.m. CT, will now kick off at 7 p.m. CT. That match will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

Lastly, Sporting KC's June 27 match against the Portland Timbers at Providence Park, which was originally scheduled to air nationally on NBC Sports Network, will now air locally on KMCI-TV. That match will kick off at 10 p.m. CT.
