Sporting KC Defender Aurelien Collin Expected to be out Six Weeks

Sporting Kansas City announced on Thursday that central defender Aurelien Collin is expected to miss approximately six weeks while recovering from a non-displaced fracture of the transverse process of both the L2 and L3 vertebrae in his lumbar spine.

Collin, who suffered the injury during Sporting Kansas City's 4-2 win over Toronto FC last Saturday, has started 15 games during his debut MLS season after signing inApril from Vitoría Futebol Clube in Portugal.

The French newcomer has recorded three goals, including two match-winners, in MLS play and has started all but one game during the team's current 12-match unbeaten streak, tied for the longest mark in club history.
