Sporting Kansas City II Adds Jamaican Forward Rojay Smith to the Roster

Sporting Kansas City II has signed forward Rojay Smith, the club announced today. Smith completed his collegiate career at the University of Tampa in 2019 and will officially be added to the roster pending league and federation approval.

Smith, 24, spent his junior and senior years with the University of Tampa, tallying eight goals and seven assists across 27 appearances. He earned All-Sunshine State Conference honors as a senior after leading the team with six goals in 2019.

The Portmore, Jamaica native spent the first two years of his collegiate career at Northern Oklahoma College in the NJCAA, playing in 36 games and plundering home 33 goals and eight assists across his Freshman and Sophomore seasons prior to transferring to the University of Tampa.

Prior to arriving in the United States in 2016, Smith was on the books of Jamaican side Harbour View FC, competing with the club's Under-17 and Under-20 teams.
