The Spokane Chiefs have reassigned four players leaving them with 30 on the roster. Spokane has reassigned the following:
GOALTENDERS
Trevor Martin (96) - Sherwood Park (AMHL)
Tyson Verhelst (97) - Southwest Cougars (MMHL)
DEFENSE
Colton Bobyk (96) - Red Deer (AMHL)
FORWARD
Jacob Cardiff (96) - Notre Dame (SMHL)
The Chiefs are now carrying three goaltenders, 10 defensemen and 17 forwards. By age, the Chiefs have one 16-year-old, 11 17-year-olds, six 18-year-olds, eight 19-year-olds and four 20-year-olds.
Spokane posted a 1-1-0-0 record over the weekend in their first two games of the pre-season. A 5-1 loss to Everett on Saturday night was followed up by a 6-3 win on Sunday over Seattle. Mitch Holmberg had a hat-trick and Todd Fiddler had a goal and two assists in Sunday's win.
The Chiefs will play another pair of pre-season games this weekend on Friday, September 7th against Everett and Saturday, September 8th against Tri-City. Both games will be a part of the Tri-City Americans Red Lion Hotels Pre-Season Tournament.
