Spokane Shock Signees T.J. Stripling and Toby Jackson

SPOKANE, Washington (November 12, 2015) - The Spokane IFL franchise has signed a pair of defensive linemen in T. J. Stripling and Toby Jackson to their 2016 roster.
Stripling (DL, 6-6, 240, Georgia) joins Spokane for his rookie season as a member of the IFL. During his collegiate career, Stripling saw action in 38 total contests for the Bulldogs as a defensive lineman and linebacker. He played his prep career at Southwest Dekalb High School in Decatur, Georgia.
Jackson (DL, 6-4, 265, Central Florida) joins Spokane for his first season as a member of the IFL after spending time with the AFL's Orlando Predators in 2015 where he registered 8.5 tackles and a sack in four games. Prior to his time in the AFL, Jackson was selected by the NFL's Dallas Cowboys as a part of the 2013 Supplemental Draft. During his junior season at the University of Central Florida, Jackson appeared in nine games with two starts and recorded 14 tackles, three tackles for loss, and one blocked punt. Prior to attending UCF, Jackson played at Navarro Junior College where he helped his team to a National Championship and was named the game's MVP. After his prep career at Griffin High School in Griffin, Georgia, he played one season at Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia.
"T.J. and Toby are both very powerful and athletic pass rushers," said Spokane Head Coach Adam Shackleford. "We believe that they will pick up this game very quickly and be forces within our defensive front."
The Spokane IFL franchise will look to kick off their 2016 training camp in early February in preparation for their home opener on Saturday, February 27 against their in-state rival in the Tri-Cities Fever with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff at Spokane Arena.
