Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Storm would like to welcome back Sioux Falls native, Matt Hermanson.
Hermanson (6'1, 198lbs) will be returning to the Storm for his second season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). During his first season with the Storm, Matt had a breakout season accumulating 28 total tackles (18 solo), one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and three interceptions.
Hermanson was a four-year starter at the University of Montana. He totaled 239 tackles, 121 of which were solo, five forced fumbles, three fumble recovers, and five interceptions in his career as a Grizzly. During his senior season at Washington High School, Matt led the Warriors to two straight 13-0 seasons and state championships. Hermanson was a three-time All-State pick in football, and South Dakota's Gatorade Player of the Year as a senior, and earned football Most Valuable Player on defense as a junior and senior.
"Matt is not only a hometown favorite, but a great football player too," said Head Coach Kurtiss Riggs. "Having Matt back is like having another coach on the field."
