
Spitfires To Raise Banner Honouring Spits World Junior Participants

(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires today announced that the team will be raising a commemorative banner, honouring the five Spitfire players who participated in the recent 2010 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships prior to the commencement of tomorrow's home game versus the Saginaw Spirit at the WFCU Centre. The banner will be raised as part of the regular pre-game ceremonies conducted by the team, starting at 7:05 p.m.
Team USA gold medalist Cam Fowler as well as Team Canada silver medalists Taylor Hall, Greg Nemisz, Adam Henrique and Ryan Ellis will be honoured for their outstanding performances at the WJHC as part of the ceremony.
200 tickets are still available for tomorrow night's game and can be purchased from the TekSavvy.com Box Office (Gate 2) at the WFCU Centre, by contacting (519) 254-5000 or online at windsorspitfires.com.
Fans are also encouraged to show their support for the Spitfires' 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup bid by filling out a ballot at the game or by visiting windsorspitfires.com.
