The Toledo Spitfire opened the home portion of their 2004 schedule with a 32-14 win over the Indiana Thunder Saturday night. Rookie QB Casey Stinson had a stellar night, leading the Spitfire offense with 179 yds passing, including 2 TD's to April Gladieux, and 72 yds rushing, including 3 TD's. Gladieux's star shined as well with 4 receptions for 163 yds and 2 TD's. Adding to the offensive party was Leah Hawkins, who ran for 49 yds.

Utilizing their speed and agility, the Spitfire defense was able to contain the sizeable Thunder offense. Heather Hebert led the Spitfire with 13 solo tackles, 3 assists and a half a sack.
