
Toledo To Take Part In Multi-Team Scrimmage

(Toledo, Ohio)- The Toledo Spitfire will see pre-season action for the first time this weekend when they travel to St. Louis to take part in a multi-team scrimmage with several other NWFA teams. The Spitfire held this same scrimmage last season with the St. Louis Slam being one of the participants. This year however, the Slam are the hosts and Toledo will make the trip to the Show Me State. This will be the first of two pre-season encounters for the Spitfire, who will open the regular season on the road April 16th in Cincinnati against the expansion Sizzle. Toledo opens the home portion of the regular season on April 30th against Baltimore. Once again this year, the home games of the Spitfire will be televised on the Buckeye Cablesystem Sports Network. BCSN is a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, television sports network devoted soley to local sports in the Northwest Ohio area. It's the only station of it's kind in the nation. And beginning with the April 2nd pre-season game at Southwest Michigan, all Spitfire games, home and away, will be audio broadcast online.
