On Wednesday night, the Spirit were able to stave off the comeback of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds to hold on to a 5-4 win. Marcus Crawford had three assists and Mitchell Stephens scored the game-winning goal with 36 seconds left.
On Friday night, the Spirit dropped a 6-1 decision to the Windsor Spitfires at The Dow Event Center.
Saturday night, the Spirit finished up the regular season against the Sarnia Sting. The Spirit got out to a 4-1 lead, but gave up five goals in the third period falling 6-4.
NEXTEER AUTOMOTIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
This week's Nexteer Automotive Player of the Week is Defenseman Marcus Crawford. Crawford had four assists this weekend, helping him finish the regular season ranked #1 in defensive scoring on the Spirit.
