July 31, 2007 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Saginaw Spirit News Release
(Saginaw, MI) The Saginaw Spirit will welcome its current and future prospects to town for this year's annual mini-camp, taking place from Thursday, August 2 to Sunday, August 5.
The general public is invited to attend the two "Blue/White" games taking place over the weekend. The games take place on Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4 at the Midland Civic Arena. Both games start at 7:00 PM, with admission to the games being a monetary donation to the Saginaw Spirit Charitable Foundation; the 501c3 organization donates the money to youth hockey associations throughout the mid-Michigan community.
The mini-camp is an annual team event that sees prospects taking part in drills, scrimmages and strength & conditioning training programs. The Spirit hockey operations staff - led by General Manager Don Edwards, Head Coach Todd Watson and Director of Scouting Dan Halliburton - will conduct evaluations designed to shape the Spirit roster for the 2007-2008 season.
The Saginaw Spirit Mini-Camp is sponsored by Meijer and Blue Lakes Charter and Tours.
