
Spirit Championship Schedule Revised

Lynn, MA -- The scheduled second game of the Northeast League Championship series between the North Shore Spirit and the New Jersey Jackals was postponed last night. The umpiring crew waited over two and half hours before making a decision to reschedule the game for Thursday night at Yogi Berra Stadium in New Jersey. Game time for game two is slated for 7:05 pm in Little Falls, New Jersey.
You can follow the Spirit's run to the 2004 Northeast League Championship on flagship radio station WESX AM 1230. The pre-game begins at 6:30 pm.
The postponement means there are scheduling changes for the for the Spirit play-off games to be played at New Fraser Field in Lynn. The entire play-off schedule will be pushed back a day. Tickets purchased for Thursday's game 3 of the Championship series, at Fraser Field will be honored on Friday.

Game 2 at New Jersey, Thursday, September 16, 7:05
Game 3 at North Shore, Friday, September 17, 7:05
If necessary:
Game 4 at North Shore, Saturday, September 18, 7:05
Game 5 at North Shore, Sunday, September 19, 2:05
The Spirit garnered a 1-0 series lead Tuesday night after winning a thrilling 5-4 game. In the win the Spirit dynamic duo of Travis Oglesby and Joe Hastings belted two homeruns apiece including back-to-back homers in the eighth inning. The back-to-back homeruns marked the third time in Spirit history they have hit tandem homers.
