Guelph, Ont. - The Saginaw Spirit (3-2-0-0) hit the road to begin a two-game swing starting Friday night with the Guelph Storm (1-2-1-0) at the Sleeman Centre in Guelph, Ontario.

The Spirit played the Sudbury Wolves Sunday, October 9, and were victorious 5-2. Anaheim Ducks prospect Pavel Mintyukov had two goals and an assist in the win. After a seven-point (4 goals - 3 assists) weekend, Mintyukov was named the OHL Player of the Week.
The Storm faced off against the Niagara IceDogs Saturday, October 8, taking a 5-2 win. Anaheim Ducks prospect Sasha Pastujov scored a goal and an assist in the victory.

Danny Zhilkin leads the Storm in goals with three. Michael Buchinger and Matthew Poitras share the lead for assists with five. Poitras leads points with seven.
