Spinners Take Latest LeLacheur Pitchers' Duel by a Final of 4-2

LOWELL, MA - After falling in a pitchers' duel the night before, the Lowell Spinners (4-2) found themselves on the right side of the scoreboard on the second pitchers' duel in as many nights, as the defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones (4-2) by a final of 4-2 on Wednesday night at LeLacheur Park.

The Spinners got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when Wil Dalton, who was making his professional debut, legged out an infield single to shortstop, scoring Ricardo Cubillan from third base.

The Cyclones got the run right back in the ensuing half when Guillermo Granadillo swapped places with Yoel Romero swapped places at second base, tying the score at one run apiece T2 Cyclones got it back when Romero and Granadillo swapped doubles. One batter later, Jose Mena gave the Cylones the lead when he singled through the hole on the left side, driving in Granadillo from second base.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Cubillan led the inning off with a triple deep down the right field line. In the ensuing at-bat, with Elih Marrero at the plate, Cubillan scored on a wild pitch, tying it at two runs aside.

Lowell took the lead in the seventh inning when Cubillan drove Kervin Suarez in on a hard ground ball to first base and put the final nail on Brooklyn's coffin when Cubillan scored on an RBI groundout by Luke Bandy.

The Spinners are back in action on Thursday night when they take on the Cyclones in the rubber match of this three-game set, first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
