Rochester Brigade News Release

(Rochester, NY)-Rochester Brigade WR/DB Vonkeith Spencer has been named the Built Ford Toughman by the arenafootball2 league office, respectively, for week 5.

"It's exciting to be recognized by the league and receive an honor like this...I'm just glad we came away with the victory," stated Spencer.

Spencer, in his first season with the Brigade, earned his first nomination after an impressive performance in Rochester's 32-24 victory over the first place Albany Conquest.

Spencer registered four tackles (three solo), five pass breakups and one interception to shut down one of the league's top receivers, Conquest OS Corey Hill, on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, Spencer contributed two receptions for 51 yards, including a game breaking 45-yard touchdown reception late in the third quarter.

In just three games this season, Spencer has tallied 13 tackles (ten solo), three interceptions, eight pass breakups and forced a fumble.
