Special Bulletin: Lou E. Loon Is Going on the Roof
March 4, 2019 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Great Lakes Loons News Release
MIDLAND, Mich. - In case you hadn't heard, single game tickets for the 2019 season are on sale NOW! However, we also received some not-so-exciting news. Our lovable Lou E. Loon seems to have his feathers in a bunch.
What he's told us is, beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 7th at Dow Diamond, he's going to go on the roof of the stadium.
He says he's going to be above the Loon Loft on the northwest side of the stadium.
He says he'll be waving at fans that stop by to say hello who pull up into the circle drive near the home plate gate.
He's says he's, "going to bat for everyone so that fans get the most out of coming to a game this year."
And he says he's not coming down until Loons fans are rewarded for being the best is baseball. So since we couldn't talk him out of it, we made a deal with him.
- Once we sell 100 tickets... we'll give Lou E. a pair of gloves... and Loons fans will receive a specialty baseball
- Once we sell 250 tickets... we'll give Lou E. a scarf... and Loons fans will receive a voucher for a free coffee at a 2019 game
- Once we sell 400 tickets... we'll give Lou E. a hat... and Loons fans will receive a voucher for a free popcorn at a 2019 game
- Once we sell 600 tickets... we'll give Lou E. a blanket... and Loons fans will receive $5 off purchase of $25+ in the Loon Loft
- Once we sell 800 tickets... we'll give Lou E. a jacket... and Loons fans will receive a free ice cream sandwich at the Fish Fry
- Once we sell 1,000 tickets... we'll give Lou E. a heater... and Loons fans will receive an invite to a private movie night
For each level reached, the prizes compound. So if 300 tickets are sold, each buyer would receive the first two prizes. If we exceed our initial goal of 1,000 tickets, each buyer would receive all six prizes.
This promotion begins the moment Lou E. steps foot onto the roof. To qualify, purchase your tickets while he's on the roof to help him out, and get some prizes for yourself! And keep his spirits up by stopping by to say hello when he's up there!
