
Sparks To Host Mercury At Pauley Pavilion In Game 1 Of Western Conference Finals

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Sparks will take on the Phoenix Mercury at Pauley Pavilion on Wednesday, September 23rd at 7:00pm in Game 1, presented by Farmers Insurance, of the 2009 Western Conference Finals. The Mercury defeated the San Antonio Silver Stars this evening 100-92, to advance to the Conference Finals for the second time in three years.
The Conference Finals are a best of three series scheduled for Wednesday, September 23rd, Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th. As the lower seed, the Sparks will open the Western Conference Finals at Pauley Pavilion on Wednesday, while the Mercury will host Game 2 on Friday, September 25th and Game 3 on Saturday, September 26th if necessary.
Season ticket holders who have purchased playoff strips will receive comparable seating to their regular STAPLES Center seats and all MVP tickets will be available at will-call at the Pauley Pavilion box office.
UCLA students can show their school-issued ID at the Pauley Pavilion box office on game day to purchase a limited number of tickets for $4.50 in honor of UCLA Alum and #45, Noelle Quinn. Faculty and staff can show their school-issued ID to purchase tickets for $9.
Tickets for the 2009 Western Conference Finals are on sale now and general admission tickets start at just $11. Seats can be purchased by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX or by visiting either www.lasparks.com or www.Ticketmaster.com. The Pauley Pavilion box office will have tickets available for purchase on game day only.
