Reno Silver Sox News Release
The Reno Silver Sox crushed the Chico Outlaws 10-2 on Monday to take two out of three on the road at Nettleton Stadium.
Reno starter James Johnson had not missed a start all season, but going into his ninth, he was still without a win. That changed Monday, as the Reno native pitched seven innings allowing only one run. Johnson struck out eight and walked only two.
Offensively, 1B Mike Done had another good night, going 2-4 with a double and a home run - his third of the year and second in two nights.
With Victor Hall getting his first night off of the year, CF Ryan Kowalski came up with three hits for the second straight night.
C Jose Rodriguez collected two hits and drove in three runs.
Tuesday the Silver Sox play the Yuma Scorpions.
