Eric Young, Jr. led off the ninth inning with a triple and scored on a Jonathan Herrera single to deliver Colorado Springs a 2-1 walk off win in front of 5,744 fans at Security Service Field. A classic pitchers duel had the Zephyrs taking the lead in the third inning with a Cameron Maybin RBI double scoring Gookie Dawkins. The Z's led 1-0 until a lead off triple by Chris Frey in the sixth inning. Frey scored on a two out single from Young. Z's starter Alex Sanabia pitched six innings and allowed just one run and was solid in his Triple A debut. Chaz Roe also pitched impressive for the Sox allowing one run for 7 innings. The Sox got the triple and single in the ninth to win the game 2-1. Franklin Morales earned the win and James Houser took the loss.

Game Notes: The Marlins named Scott Cousins organizational player of the Month for July. He batted .328 with 6 home runs and 18 RBI for the month. The 46 hits for the month ranked him second in the PCL. The Z's added pitcher Jorge Sosa from Florida and Jeff Gogal was reassigned to Double A Jacksonville. The Zephyrs are now 2-13 in the Mountain time zone over the past two seasons. New Orleans is 4 games back of Oklahoma City with 30 games to play..
