Sounds Media Day to be Held April 3 at First Tennessee Park

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - All members of local print and broadcast media are invited to First Tennessee Park on Monday, April 3 to meet the 2017 Nashville Sounds players and coaching staff.

Media members will have on-field access to all Sounds personnel from 3:30-4:30 prior to the team's preseason workout. Media members are welcome to stay throughout the workout.

Season credentials and other information will be ready for pickup at this time. All media members can enter First Tennessee Park through the Club and Suite entrance doors located on Junior Gilliam Way.

The 2017 Sounds will be managed by Ryan Christenson who recently led the Double-A Midland RockHounds to back-to-back Texas League titles in 2015 and 2016.

The Sounds begin the season on the road in Round Rock, Texas, on Thursday, April 6. The two teams play a five-game series before the Sounds return to First Tennessee Park for the home opener on Tuesday, April 11. The 2017 season will be the Sounds' 40th in franchise history and their third as the Oakland Athletics' top affiliate. Opening Day is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11 as the Sounds host the Oklahoma City Dodgers at 6:35 p.m. at First Tennessee Park.
