Seattle Sounders News Release
The Seattle Sounders will be on Fox Soccer Channel, tomorrow night at 8:00 pm, playing the Vancouver Whitecaps at Swangard Stadium in Vancouver. It is Seattle's second game of the season on FSC.
Currently in fifth place with nine points, the Sounders trip to Canada is their first of four consecutive games on the road. The Sounders finished off a three game home stand, Sunday, with a 4-2 win over the Atlanta Silverbacks.
"It's always a great atmosphere at Swangard Stadium, we look forward to the challenge of the Whitecaps," said Coach Schmetzer. "Playing on Fox Soccer Channel is always exciting, our team will be ready."
The Whitecaps are 3-0-1 in May, which includes a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy of the MLS, in an exhibition game in Edmonton. With five games played, Vancouver is tied for third place with ten points.
Tomorrow's game also counts towards the Cascadia Cup standings. The current table has Portland three points ahead of Seattle with Vancouver yet to play a Cascadia Cup game.
