Sounders FC Hosts Series-Determining Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One Match this Friday, November 10

SEATTLE, WASH. - Following last night's loss on the road, Sounders FC and FC Dallas now hold a game apiece in the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs Round One, a best-of-three series. The critical third match of the series - determining which club advances to the Western Conference Semifinals - is being played this Friday, November 10 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (7:00 p.m. PT / Apple TV, FS1, iHeartMedia Seattle, El Rey 1360 AM).

Announced earlier this year, MLS has adopted a new postseason format beginning in 2023. Building on the popular single-elimination format, the 2023 MLS postseason sees the addition of a pair of single-elimination Wild Card matches ahead of an enhanced Round One, which is now being played as a best-of-three, home-away-home series.

In Round One, every game has a winner; there are no ties and no aggregate score. If a match is tied at the end of regulation, no extra time is played and teams instead go straight to penalty kicks to determine the winner. The first team to win two matches in the series advances to the Conference Semifinals, at which point all ensuing matches revert to single-elimination.

MLS Season Pass features every match of the Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs, all in one place with no blackouts. Wild Card Round and the opening match of each Round One, best-of-three series are being aired for free on MLS Season Pass, with subsequent matches exclusive to MLS Season Pass. Select playoff games, including MLS Cup, are also available through FOX Sports in the United States and TSN and RDS in Canada.
